On Tuesday, January 8th, CeaseFirePA will host their second annual “Too Many Victims Lost to Gun Violence” candlelight vigil at the Wesley A.M.E. Zion Church in Pittsburgh’s Hill District. The date marks the day that former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot along with 18 others — six of whom died including nine-year-old Christina Taylor Green. Sadly, gun violence has continued to plague our nation since that day…

From the CeaseFirePA event flyer:

We seek an end to gun violence and an end to the trafficking of illegal firearms–a plague that continues to ravage our communities, including the Hill District.

Thus event is open to the public. All area residents, community leaders, activists and students are encouraged to attend and to work together to help end this scourge on our communities.
