Interested in a summer job as a lifeguard? The Citiparks Aquatic Division is looking for you! They are still recruiting lifeguards for the 2014 summer season. Lifeguards must be City of Pittsburgh residents and at least 16 years of age by May 30, 2014. The starting pay rate is $8.82 an hour. Also, here’s a reminder that you can still apply for a summer job through the 2014 Pittsburgh Summer Youth Employment Program (PSYEP), but you’ll need to hurry as the deadline is tomorrow, Wednesday, May 14 at 6:00 p.m. The jobs include outdoor jobs which may include restoration and improvement of City parks, public property and vacant lots. There are also internships which may include general office work in a variety of businesses and organizations. Applicants must be City of Pittsburgh residents who will be at least 14, and no older than 21, as of June 30, 2014. You can view/download an application form here. All applications must be submitted in person to one of the four locations (Goodwill of SWPA-Southside, Eastside Neighborhood Employment Center, West End Works, Northside Coalition for Fair Housing) detailed on the application form.
